Welder / Fabricator (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Penrose, Colorado, with transition to Pueblo, Colorado

Salary: $25–$33 per hour

What you will do

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Set up and operate MIG, TIG, and Stick/SMAW welding equipment.
• Cut, shape, fit, and fabricate metal components using saws, shears, plasma cutters, grinders, and other shop equipment.
• Inspect welds and fabricated parts for quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain production records, welding equipment, tools, and an organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and colleagues on project requirements and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of welding or fabrication experience, or completion of an accredited welding trade program with hands-on proficiency.
• Proficiency in MIG and/or TIG welding with the ability to produce consistent welds across different materials and thicknesses.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders with strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of metal properties, fabrication techniques, hand tools, power tools, and common shop machinery.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry up to 75 pounds and work while standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and in confined spaces.
• Must meet U.S. person eligibility requirements under ITAR and other U.S. government export regulations.

Nice to have

• AWS certification or equivalent welding qualification.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or precision manufacturing.
