Senior Tool & Die Maker (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's EDC facility in Long Beach, California, United States. A Shift runs Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts may be required.

Hourly pay range: $30–$40 USD.

What you will do

• Design, fabricate, and maintain precision tools from engineering drawings.
• Operate manual and CNC lathes and milling machines to close tolerances.
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints and CAD/CAM models.
• Diagnose and repair worn or broken tooling.
• Maintain the tool crib and tooling documentation while supporting Machine Shop and Tool Design projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience operating conventional and CNC machining equipment.
• Expertise with surface grinders and proficiency with EDM equipment.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools.
• Ability to machine components to tolerances as tight as ±0.0001 inch.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• For work in U.S. offices, eligibility under U.S. Government ITAR export regulations is required, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or applicable authorization.

Nice to have

• Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification.
• Siemens NX experience.
• CMM experience.
