Assembly Technician - Aft End (Aerospace): Building and integrating the aft section of Nova, a fully reusable launch vehicle, including primary structure, propulsion systems, fluid lines, avionics, and flight-critical hardware with an accent on precision assembly, alignment, testing, and traceability. Focus on installing and torquing critical components, performing pneumatic and cryogenic tests, troubleshooting integration issues, and maintaining strict FOD, ESD, and cleanliness standards.
Location: On-site in Kent, Washington, United States. Must be eligible to work with technology and technical data controlled under U.S. ITAR regulations and able to complete U.S. employment verification requirements.
Salary: Level 2 range $32.11–$48.16; Level 3 range $40.13–$60.17.

is developing Nova, a fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle designed to reduce launch costs and increase flight cadence.
What you will do
- Assemble and integrate rocket engines, primary structure, fluid lines, harnesses, instrumentation, and related aft-end subsystems.
- Lead AFT build and integration activities, including area layout, tooling, processes, scheduling, and daily tasking.
- Install and torque flight-critical hardware according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Perform precision alignments, fit-checks, and measurements using calibrated tools.
- Conduct and support pneumatic and cryogenic testing, leak checks, and functional checkouts.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, document non-conformances, improve processes, and maintain complete assembly and test records.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing, aviation maintenance, complex mechanical assembly, or rocket/jet engine assembly and test.
- Ability to read complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and other calibrated hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate others, delegate effectively, and maintain high quality standards.
- Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends; lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted; and work in confined spaces and at heights.
Nice to have
- Launch vehicle assembly, integration, or testing experience.
- Experience with cryogenic fluids such as liquid oxygen or methane and high-pressure systems.
- Knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow measurement devices.
- Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience.
- Experience with 3D CAD model viewing or ERP/MRP systems.
