Mid-Level Software Engineer (Java/Python, AWS)

Location: Hybrid position based in Plano, Texas; candidates must reside within a commutable distance.

What you will do

• Collaborate across Agile teams to deliver features from concept through production.
• Build and maintain scalable, cloud-native services on AWS.
• Write clean, well-tested code in Java, Python, TypeScript, or related modern technologies.
• Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, planning sessions, and code reviews.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across the technology stack with support from senior engineers.
• Apply testing, observability, version control, and deployment best practices while taking ownership of increasingly independent tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline and 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Intermediate to advanced programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, React, TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience building event-driven systems for asynchronous communication between systems and components.
• Experience with test-driven development, object-oriented design, responsive web application testing, design patterns, and coding standards.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future hirify.global immigration sponsorship or work authorization support.

Nice to have

• At least one year of structured software development experience with Spring or Spring Boot.
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
