Software Engineer II (Java and AWS)

Location: Boston, MA, United States; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the office.

hirify.global operates an e-commerce platform for pet parents and develops enterprise infrastructure, services, and tools that support software development.

What you will do

• Build scalable, performant customer-facing features and resilient web application systems.
• Develop automation, reusable modules, tooling, and self-service solutions for internal engineering customers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technology teams to define and deliver product enhancements.
• Improve logging, testing, instrumentation, metrics, monitoring, alerting, and operational practices.
• Conduct design and code reviews, contribute to development guidelines, and mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, on-call rotations, production troubleshooting, and operational excellence initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of Java programming experience and 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud platforms.
• 3+ years of experience with frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, highly available systems.
• Experience with production monitoring, troubleshooting, incident triage, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code using Terraform or a similar tool.
• Ability to work from the Boston office 3 days per week.

• Experience in e-commerce.
