Software Engineer (Autonomy Services)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; onsite five days a week. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $97,530–$158,480 per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and maintain backend RESTful API services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Develop and deploy secure, scalable platform services on AWS across the full software lifecycle.
• Build business-value features with attention to performance, reliability, maintainability, and observability.
• Analyze complex application and technical problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for implementation, testing, debugging, refactoring, and documentation while validating their output.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams on requirements, estimation, code reviews, CI/CD, documentation, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs using microservices principles.
• Ability to build and deploy secure, scalable backend services in AWS or another cloud-native environment.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted and agentic software development, including reviewing and testing AI-generated code.
• Understanding of software design, architecture, integration, critical thinking, and effective communication.
• Must be based in Irving, Texas, and work onsite five days per week; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Production AI agent development with Python.
• Experience with LangChain or LangGraph.
• Experience integrating LLMs with tools, APIs, databases, and retrieval systems.
• Experience designing evaluations, guardrails, monitoring, multi-agent workflows, and memory or context management.
• MLOps or model deployment experience, including prompt optimization, latency reduction, and cost control.
