Electrical Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Serve as the Responsible Engineer for multiple circuit card assemblies supporting flight hardware.
• Drive electronic hardware through design verification, qualification, production readiness, Low Rate Initial Production, and Full Rate Production.
• Support environmental, electrical, and functional qualification testing and document results.
• Partner with quality, manufacturing, supply chain, integration, and supplier engineering teams to establish production metrics and resolve hardware issues.
• Review and update schematics, PCB layouts, and engineering documentation to improve manufacturability, reliability, and component availability.
• Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PCB layout files.
• Experience modifying schematics using Altium Designer or similar ECAD tools.
• Understanding of PCB and circuit card assembly manufacturing processes, electronic components, power distribution, signal integrity, and circuit design fundamentals.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Access to export-controlled information may require U.S. Government authorization, security clearance, citizenship, or other eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cadence Allegro or other PCB design toolsets.
• Familiarity with IPC standards, configuration management, and engineering change processes.
• Experience supporting design verification, qualification, environmental testing, manufacturing, quality, or supplier engineering.
• Python experience for automation, testing, or data analysis.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, or other hardware development environments.
