Salary: $144,000–$198,000 base pay per year

What you will do

• Design wire harness routing and installation using 3D CAD, primarily Siemens NX.
• Apply aircraft wiring standards and best practices, including AC 43.13-1B, AS50881, and ASTM F2639.
• Select standard components and position aircraft equipment and support structures for safe, lightweight, and accessible wiring installations.
• Provide installation guidance for harness assembly and aircraft integration.
• Create inspection criteria for manufactured and installed components.
• Manage configuration and design changes, and develop custom solutions for tight or moving-component routing areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience designing aircraft wiring.
• Experience with 3D CAD and electrical routing tools, including Siemens NX, NX Electrical Routing Package, or CATIA V5 Electrical Workbench.
• Experience with wiring CAD software such as Mentor Graphics Capital, HarnessXC, and Logic.
• Hands-on experience fabricating, installing, and inspecting wire harnesses.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EWIS concepts, certification, and FAA AC 25.1701.
• Experience with Siemens NX Formboard and bridging with Mentor Graphics.
• 3D printing or injection molding experience.
• Knowledge of lightning protection, HIRF, and grounding for composite aircraft.
