TL;DR
Senior Engineer, Design & Modeling - Harness (Aerospace): Designing and integrating electrical harnesses and controls components for complex aerospace propulsion systems with an accent on 3D routing, production-level drawings, system integration, and lifecycle documentation. Focus on translating system requirements into manufacturable designs, resolving multidisciplinary technical challenges, and providing technical guidance through testing and production.

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States; this role is located at the Centennial facility. U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 base salary annually.

hirify.global develops jet propulsion systems for unmanned aerial defense by combining additive manufacturing with aerospace engineering.

What you will do

  • Design and develop electrical harnesses, controls hardware, and accessory components from concept through production.
  • Create 3D routing models, 2D drawings, wiring diagrams, pinout documentation, and electronic design data.
  • Own wire harness routing and flattened harness drawings using Siemens NX, Cameo, or similar engineering tools.
  • Select connectors, cables, wires, shielding, backshells, and support hardware based on technical and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain interface control drawings, engineering change requests, configuration data, and lifecycle records.
  • Collaborate with Controls, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, and Integrated Product Teams on design reviews, integration, testing, manufacturability, reliability, and engineering changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience designing electrical harnesses, interconnect systems, or related components for aerospace, propulsion, defense, or other regulated systems.
  • Experience with electrical routing, CAD, systems engineering tools, production-level harness models, drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Advanced knowledge of harness design, electrical components, routing, system integration, configuration management, and engineering change processes.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Siemens NX or Cameo.
  • Experience with MIL-DTL-38999, D-sub, Molex, and other aerospace-grade connector systems.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC, grounding, bonding, shielding, RTCA DO-160, or MIL-STD-461.
  • Experience designing harness installation brackets, clamps, and support hardware, including GD&T.
  • Experience with electrical integration, troubleshooting, verification, testing, and full product lifecycle support.
