Claim Specialist - Property Field Inspection

Location: Stockertown, Pennsylvania, serving the specified local Pennsylvania territory. Remote-field work is performed from home with a mobile office or vehicle, but the role requires in-person property inspections, travel within the territory, and occasional travel to other territories.

Salary: $78,862.06–$112,500 annually, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Conduct on-site inspections and assess damage for residential and commercial property claims.
• Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Gather evidence, document findings, prepare reports, and estimate damages.
• Evaluate coverage and policy terms while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and other parties to resolve claims.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits while providing professional customer service.

Requirements

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, interpret detailed policies, and make well-supported decisions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and customer-service skills.
• Proficiency with mobile and desktop tools for documenting claims in the field and remotely.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, navigate roofs at various heights, and crawl in tight spaces.
• Valid driver's license required; rope and harness safety training may be required.
• Must reside within one of the listed Pennsylvania ZIP codes and service the assigned territory.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent property claims experience.
• Knowledge of property insurance policies, coverage, claims handling, and residential and commercial construction.
• Water mitigation inspection experience.
• Experience with Xactimate and XactContents.
