Embedded SW Engineer (C/C++)

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States. US Citizenship is required, and the position requires the ability to obtain a United States Secret Clearance.

Salary: $140,500–$221,500 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $174,000–$261,000 annually.

What you will do

• Develop and integrate embedded software in C and C++.
• Build embedded and system test software using C, C++, and Python.
• Develop Linux applications in Python, C, C++, and Rust, as well as FreeRTOS applications in C and C++.
• Build applications for microprocessors, embedded processors, and FPGAs.
• Design bare-metal embedded device drivers and resolve complex integration issues.
• Design CI/CD infrastructure, lead design reviews, and improve product reliability and security.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional C/C++ experience.
• Expertise with multithreaded applications and inter-process communication.
• Understanding of real-time concepts on embedded Linux or RTOS platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a United States Secret Clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD, Python, Linux kernel drivers, RTOS, and standalone embedded applications.
• Familiarity with FPGA architectures, Ethernet protocols, network security protocols, and emulation environments.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, Jira, Jama, Artifactory, and AI development tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Cursor.
