Program Manager, Expert (Undergrounding)

Location: Hybrid in Oakland, California; ability to travel up to 50% of working time.

Salary: $129,000–$207,000 annually, with a midpoint of $168,000, plus eligibility for discretionary incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead complex or midsize projects supporting the implementation and operations of the Undergrounding program.
• Identify and evaluate partners, technologies, tools, methodologies, processes, and standards from idea generation through pilots and implementation.
• Develop standards, procedures, communications, training, testing, and monitoring practices for successful innovations.
• Manage department expense budgets, monitor forecasts, communicate project status, and present recommendations to management.
• Coordinate planning and construction schedules across civil, electrical, and construction management disciplines.
• Support RFP and contract processes, contractor scope negotiations, regulatory guidance, and final quality assurance reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
• At least eight years of related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to work across civil, electrical, construction management, data, permitting, and operational disciplines.
• Experience analyzing complex data models, preparing customized reports, and communicating recommendations to diverse audiences.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of working time.
