Sr Mgr, Project Mgmt

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States; hybrid

Salary: $151,200–$207,900 per year, plus an additional $25,000 annual long-term incentive plan and a 25% annual bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Direct the Project Management Group and lead the development and implementation of project management processes, tools, and financial management systems.
• Manage a construction program with annual expenditures exceeding $100 million, including projects for state and local governments, FERC, and external customers.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, cost control, resource prioritization, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead multiple project teams, directly supervising 8–10 employees and indirectly managing approximately 400 contract personnel and 300 employees.
• Manage large industrial customer connections, independent power producer interconnections, capacity expansion, and system performance projects.
• Provide storm and energy delivery emergency support, including extended-hours or on-call coverage when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 10 years of relevant experience, including 3–5 years as a supervisor or manager; an associate’s degree with 12–15 years of relevant experience may be accepted instead.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project management tools, contracting, budgeting, forecasting, contract structures, and financial management.
• Leadership, coaching, performance management, consensus-building, negotiation, communication, and change-management skills.
• Experience developing process enhancements, technology improvements, cost-control strategies, and efficiency initiatives.
• Electric industry experience involving construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting of transmission, substation, or distribution control systems.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• PMP certification.
• Five years of supervisory experience and five years managing projects or programs.
• Knowledge of long-range planning, contractor wage-rate analysis, and contracting strategies beyond time-and-expense, unit-price, and lump-sum models.
