Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

Location: Hybrid, working from engineering hubs in New York City, Seattle, or the Bay Area, United States

Salary: $130,600–$192,000, $159,800–$235,000, or $193,800–$285,000 USD annually, depending on level and work location; equity opportunities are also available.

What you will do

• Design and build the foundational cloud platform across AWS and GCP, including account vending, IAM guardrails, networking primitives, quotas, and infrastructure as code.
• Develop secure, cost-efficient self-service tooling and maintain the paved path for cloud adoption.
• Partner with product and platform teams to solve complex cloud use cases and mature recurring solutions into reusable platform products.
• Drive multi-cloud initiatives, unify cloud foundations across brands, improve cost efficiency, and strengthen security posture.
• Set technical direction, mentor engineers, influence cloud architecture, and improve operational productivity through automation and AI tools.
• Participate in a shared support rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering.
• Deep hands-on AWS experience, including IAM, Organizations, VPC, S3, and ECR; GCP experience is beneficial.
• Experience with VPC, PrivateLink, Transit Gateway, VPC peering, Terraform, and GitOps tools such as Atlantis or ArgoCD.
• Programming experience with Go and Python, plus experience with Kubernetes.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requests from customer teams into adopted, well-paved platform solutions.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor across design, development, testing, monitoring, and release.

Nice to have

• Experience building internal cloud platforms, landing zones, or account vending at scale.
• Multi-cloud experience running workloads on GCP alongside AWS.
• Experience with cloud cost management and vendor relationships.
