Information Technology Subject Matter Expert (Storage & Data Protection)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States. US work authorization and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Lead technical advisory activities for enterprise SAN, NAS, object storage, backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery architecture.
• Design and maintain risk assessment frameworks, disaster recovery runbooks, failover validation methods, and continuity planning across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
• Evaluate, implement, and manage NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, and Brocade Fibre Channel infrastructure.
• Oversee Cohesity DataProtect, Veritas NetBackup, AWS, Azure, and OCI storage and backup operations.
• Implement ransomware mitigation, immutability, encryption, DISA STIG, and IAVA controls and support audit readiness.
• Automate provisioning, capacity forecasting, backup policy enforcement, and operational workflows using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and IaC while mentoring engineering teams.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain the required US clearance are required.
• US Citizens and candidates authorized to work in the United States are encouraged to apply.
• IAT Level II DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification and at least one relevant computing environment certification are required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of enterprise IT engineering experience, including SAN/NAS, storage arrays, backup platforms, cloud storage, and federal or DoD environments.
• At least two years in a technical lead or advisory capacity, plus experience with Windows Server, RHEL, MPIO, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, scripting, automation, and executive technical communication.
