Tool & Die Maker (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Build, repair, sharpen, and maintain custom tools, dies, fixtures, molds, and other production tooling.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, grinders, saws, boring machines, drill presses, and related equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, layouts, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequencing, and setup requirements.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues for punch presses and other tool-room equipment.
• Use hoists safely to open and close dies and support tooling maintenance.
• Follow company safety, ethics, and malpractice policies.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of related experience working with different types of dies, bench assembly, and disassembly.
• Experience with manual lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, and horizontal and vertical band saws.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Mastercam; CNC mill and lathe knowledge is preferred.
• Completed apprenticeship or on-the-job training; technical or apprentice certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of blanking, forming, compound, pinch trim, and progressive dies.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR or EAR requirements, such as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or political asylee.
