What you will do
- Set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, grinders, hones, and other surface-finishing equipment.
- Fabricate and process parts for manufactured products.
- Plan and produce or repair parts, machines, jigs, fixtures, tooling, and prototypes.
- Apply sound machining practices while working under supervisor direction or with limited supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 18 months of related tool-making experience.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, walk, reach, kneel, push, and pull for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lb with assistance when needed, and push or pull loads up to 100 lb occasionally with assistance.
