Senior Backend Developer (AWS)

Location: United States; must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Salary: $130,000–$142,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications.
• Build secure, high-performing backend solutions using modern JavaScript technologies and AWS services.
• Develop and integrate AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, Amazon S3, EventBridge, and Kinesis components.
• Analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment.
• Support innovative software solutions for federal government IT programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience with Node.js and 5 years with React.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS services and 2 years working with AWS cloud tools.
• At least 1 year of experience writing SQL and working with relational databases.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance are required.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.

Nice to have

• Active or recent ICE or CBP clearance.
• Single Page Application development experience.
• Agile development experience.
• DevOps and CI/CD experience with Git, Jenkins, CloudBees, React Testing Library, or Jest.
• Experience supporting federal government IT programs.
