DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Chicago, IL; Lake Worth, FL; Littleton, CO; New London, CT; or Waltham, MA. Frequent in-person work may be required.

What you will do

• Support and improve CI/CD pipeline tools for multiple software product teams.
• Build infrastructure-as-code tooling and deployment systems for development environments.
• Containerize applications and operate production Kubernetes/EKS environments.
• Monitor and maintain systems and networks, including logging, APM, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Improve reliability, scalability, cost efficiency, disaster recovery, security benchmarking, and operational self-service.
• Partner with development and QA teams, manage access controls, and respond to service issues and requests.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, information security, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of DevOps experience, 3 years of software engineering experience, and 2 years of AWS experience.
• Production experience with Kubernetes/EKS and strong knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Bash, Python, or Go; Go is preferred.
• Experience with CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Git.
• Experience with monitoring, APM, logging, infrastructure, MySQL, Amazon Aurora, and Redshift.
