Senior Project Controls & Performance Analyst (Design Engineering)

What you will do

• Maintain and update design engineering project portfolio schedules for assigned regions and disciplines using Primavera P6.
• Analyze activity logic, work breakdown structures, critical paths, milestones, and schedule forecasts.
• Manage baseline change requests, schedule re-baselining, and portfolio schedule adjustments.
• Coordinate project status updates across Primavera P6, Smart Turnaround Tool, Excel, Access, and Power BI.
• Build performance dashboards and executive reports covering engineering, financial, operational, and customer metrics.
• Support resource planning, workload allocation, long-range planning, resource histograms, KPI tracking, and improvement plans with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, project management, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience managing performance data analysis and operational reporting.
• At least 5 years of dedicated experience updating, managing, and reporting schedules with Primavera P6.
• Intermediate-to-advanced Primavera P6 skills, including reports, custom filters and layouts, histograms, schedule logic, and WBS analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables, with the ability to analyze large datasets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across functions and management levels.

Nice to have

• Project controls experience in design engineering, capital projects, or heavy construction scheduling.
• Experience with Microsoft Access, SAP, and Power BI.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement certification.
