Systems Engineer (Electromechanical Systems)

Location: Onsite in Santa Barbara, California, United States. Travel up to 25% may be required depending on mission requirements.

Salary: $120,000–$155,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design environmentally robust, high-reliability linear and rotary actuators.
• Evaluate integrated electromechanical systems across mechanical, structural dynamics, electrical, thermal, and rotary-motion disciplines.
• Predict system-level performance using fundamental engineering principles and select optimal approaches for specific applications.
• Lead an integrated product development team through timely and successful project completion.
• Interpret customer specifications and system requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in system development and integration.
• Experience working in a team environment, strong attention to detail, motivation to learn, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice to have

• Turret fire control systems design, integration, and testing experience.
• MATLAB and Simulink expertise.
• Active Department of Defense security clearance.
