Medication Nurse (LPN)

Location: On-site in Asheville, North Carolina, USA

Salary: $28.00 per hour plus a bonus structure

What you will do

• Administer methadone and buprenorphine according to physician orders.
• Screen and assess patients for treatment appropriateness and communicate progress with counselors.
• Collect urine specimens, document results, and prepare courtesy and vacation dose packages.
• Receive medication shipments, maintain dosing records and inventory reconciliation, and report discrepancies.
• Perform venipuncture as needed and use clinical equipment in accordance with procedures.
• Support treatment-center improvements, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and required training.

Requirements

• Active LPN license or RN license in the state of employment
• BLS certification and a valid driver's license
• Accurate data-entry skills and basic computer and office-equipment knowledge
• Ability to work independently under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and respond quickly
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a rotating Saturday shift from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Nice to have

• Experience in addiction medicine
• Knowledge of dosing equipment, centrifuges, physical-assessment tools, test strips, breathalyzers, and other medical equipment
