Medication Nurse - LPN (Addiction Treatment)

Location: West Plains, Missouri, USA; onsite at the treatment center

Salary: $22.00–$25.00 per hour plus bonus structure

Behavioral Health Group operates a network of Joint Commission-accredited treatment centers providing opioid addiction treatment services across 24 states.

What you will do

• Administer methadone as prescribed and ensure safe, accurate dosing.
• Screen and assess new and existing patients, observe responses to treatment, and monitor progress.
• Collect and document urine specimens, lab work, physicals, dosing records, and vacation or courtesy dose packages.
• Maintain medication and medical supply inventory in accordance with DEA regulations.
• Support regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements while creating a respectful patient environment.
• Collaborate with counselors and nursing staff, mentor new team members, and continue developing clinical skills.

Requirements

• Must be licensed as an LPN, LVN, or RN.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to work a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment involving prolonged standing, bending, keyboarding, and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment when required and work with patients affected by substance use and mental health conditions.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemical addiction treatment.
• Knowledge of medication dispensing equipment, centrifuges, physical assessment tools, breathalyzers, and other clinical devices.
• Strong data entry, computer, prioritization, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records and standard office equipment.
