TL;DR
Lead Scrum Master (Agile/IT): Managing Scrum and Kanban delivery for DHS ICE IT development, O&M, and enhancement activities with an accent on sprint planning, backlog execution, risk management, and cross-contract coordination. Focus on facilitating complex delivery workflows, resolving impediments and conflicts, and maintaining team accountability across multiple application development initiatives.
Location: On-site in Tysons Corner, Virginia, United States; 5 days per week in the office, with possible allowance for 1 telework day per week. Must be a US citizen and able to attain a DHS clearance.
Salary: $120,000–$130,000 annually

What you will do
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint and release planning, reviews, retrospectives, demos, and other Scrum/Kanban ceremonies.
- Manage Jira boards, product backlogs, sprint execution, process documentation, and agile tracking systems.
- Coordinate communication and delivery across multiple development contracts, Product Owners, Scrum Teams, managers, and government stakeholders.
- Support requirements decomposition, backlog refinement, story and task definition, commitment planning, and impediment removal.
- Track team velocity and sprint/release progress while improving transparency, productivity, self-organization, and delivery accountability.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and ensure development teams follow core agile principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, systems, business, or a related technical discipline, with 9+ years of experience or equivalent experience.
- Agile experience leading Scrum or task teams, including 3+ years in dynamic customer delivery environments.
- Current Scrum Master certification and experience with diverse IT projects.
- Strong knowledge of the full systems development life cycle, enterprise-wide network engineering, information planning, business process reengineering, and management practices.
- Experience delivering production systems, tools, or solutions while transitioning to improved technologies.
- US citizenship and ability to attain a DHS clearance required. Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, investigation, and independent working skills are required.

- Experience with Jira, GitHub, or other agile testing tools.
- Consulting experience and knowledge of client or customer relations.
- Experience negotiating prioritization between Product Owners and technical leadership.
