Senior Design Engineer - Drivetrain Structural & Cast Components

Location: Onsite five days a week in East Peoria, Illinois, United States. Domestic relocation is available. Travel is less than 10%.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year

What you will do

• Create drivetrain structural, cast, and forged component designs that meet technical and business requirements.
• Complete Design FMEAs and technical reviews to establish risks and validation plans.
• Complete or coordinate analysis activities, including stress analysis, to evaluate new designs.
• Work with suppliers and purchasing teams during component sourcing.
• Assess production part nonconformances and provide technical guidance on quality issues.
• Support the local assembly facility and participate in APQP activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Analytical thinking, effective communication, prioritization, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of computer-aided design and engineering tools and product design and development through production.
• 5+ years of job-related work experience is preferred for top candidates.
• VISA sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Creo modeling and stress analysis.
• Experience designing cast or forged components.
• Experience with DFMEAs, APQP, and PPAPs.
