Construction Coordinator Senior (Electric Utility)

Location: Ft. Wayne, Indiana, United States. Extensive travel is required, with travel expected to exceed 50% of the time; possible relocation may be required.

Salary: $74,551.00–$151,132.50 per year.

What you will do

• Coordinate construction, outage, project, and field work activities with employees, contractors, vendors, customers, and regulatory agencies.
• Plan and monitor project schedules, labor resources, costs, outages, and assigned work activities.
• Resolve technical and operational problems, including complex and specialized issues involving utility equipment and work processes.
• Review drawings, contracting methods, work standards, and basic cost estimates.
• Lead meetings, facilitate consensus, manage conflict, and maintain productive working relationships.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance improvement support for lower-level employees and peers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an associate technical degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant experience for the senior level.
• Typically, at least 6 years of experience in technical work activities and projects; progression to the principal level requires 10 or more years.
• Principal-level progression requires a professional or trade certification such as CCMP, CETa, IQCP, PMP, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of contracts, technical problem solving, construction, operations, planning, maintenance, systems, or equipment.
• Must communicate effectively with teams, management, customers, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Must be available for overtime, call-out overtime, shift work, outdoor work in all weather, hazardous-material exposure, and extended project or outage hours.
