What you will do

• Manage and provide direct oversight of construction activities for capital projects, O&M projects, outage-related work, and special projects.
• Ensure projects are adequately resourced and monitor construction budgets, schedules, costs, and performance metrics.
• Lead construction safety activities, including audits, observations, investigations, incident reporting, and OSHA compliance monitoring.
• Pre-qualify contractors and inspectors, execute inspection plans, and authorize payment for completed work.
• Coordinate with contractors, craft labor, customers, project leads, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain project records and ensure construction quality and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of experience in utility systems, power generation, design, construction, operations, engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
• Field experience with construction or maintenance techniques, materials, terminology, and inspection activities.
• Technical expertise in applicable standards, procedures, government requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Strong planning skills, including determining crew sizes and construction activity durations.
• Familiarity with work packages, construction task planning, and work and asset management applications.
• Ability to lead, communicate policies and objectives, achieve operational metrics, and drive process adherence.

• Civil or hydro facility experience.
• Utility power generation experience.
• Construction project management experience.
• Informal leadership or supervisory experience.
• Understanding of utility finance.
