Focus on solving complex vehicle issues, explaining repairs to non-mechanical customers, and developing technician capability through formal training.
Location: Clifton Park, New York, United States; onsite automotive service role
Salary: $25.31–$52.22 per hour under a performance-based flat-rate compensation model.

What you will do
- Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air-conditioning, computer, and related automotive systems.
- Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers without mechanical expertise.
- Assist, train, and mentor technicians and mechanics on technical activities.
- Stay current with changing automotive technology through paid formal training.
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least five A1–A8 areas within the first two years.
Requirements
- Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Hands-on skill in brake diagnosis and repair, alignment, steering and suspension, general maintenance, and tire repair.
- Current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, with reading, writing, and math skills.
- Employment requires completion of Form I-9 verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify candidates.
Nice to have
- Experience with electrical and electronic systems, engine repair and performance, transmissions, drivetrains, heating, and air conditioning.
- Five years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated skills through third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
- A.S.E. certification in at least three A1–A8 areas, preferably brakes and steering and suspension.
