Company

hirify.global develops reusable space vehicles and systems and is building TeraWave, a multi-orbit satellite communications network for high-speed global connectivity.

What you will do

  • Design and develop high-performance packet-processing applications in C/C++ using DPDK and FD.io VPP.
  • Profile and optimize dataplane software for line-rate 100G/400G performance with minimal latency and jitter.
  • Implement IP routing protocols and tunneling technologies, including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, SRv6, MPLS, and GRE.
  • Develop interfaces for SmartNICs, FPGA offload engines, and other hardware accelerators.
  • Architect horizontally scalable dataplane systems for TeraWave Point of Presence clusters.
  • Provide technical leadership through architecture decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and collaboration with platform, hardware, and network engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Expert proficiency in C or C++.
  • Strong Linux systems programming experience, including threading, memory management, and interrupt handling.
  • Solid understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP, and Ethernet switching fundamentals.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice to have

  • Experience with DPDK, VPP, eBPF, XDP, or Linux kernel networking internals.
  • Experience with Mellanox/NVIDIA, Intel E810, or Broadcom DNX-based networking hardware.
  • Knowledge of BGP, EVPN, Segment Routing, CPU pinning, NUMA awareness, and cache-line optimization.
  • Experience with Kubernetes CNI, DPDK-in-Docker, space systems, satellite communications, or telecommunications networking.

Culture & Benefits

  • Safety, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous technical improvement are emphasized.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • Paid parental leave, up to four weeks of paid time off, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
