Lead Systems Analyst (Banner Finance)

Location: Full-time, on-site position based at the Bozeman, Montana campus; occasional travel required.

Salary: $70,000–$98,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.

hirify.global’s University Information Technology division provides technology services and supports major administrative applications for the four-campus university system.

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Service Group Finance team.
• Partner with Finance stakeholders across the university campuses to prioritize development and support work.
• Analyze user requirements, evaluate alternatives, design solutions, specify technical requirements, and develop software modules.
• Implement and maintain Ellucian Banner Finance systems, custom applications, and related workflows.
• Manage projects, prioritize tasks, delegate work, and coordinate technical problem resolution.
• Collaborate with other Banner teams and university committees, providing technical leadership and counsel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field plus directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience analyzing, designing, developing, programming, enhancing, and implementing complex administrative applications using relational databases and transaction processing.
• Intermediate or expert experience with SQL, PL/SQL, database-driven programming, and modern software development tools.
• Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing user requests, and delegating tasks.
• Experience hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring technical staff.
• Strong communication, leadership, conflict management, and relationship-building skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with university ERP systems, preferably Ellucian Banner.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying integration components.
• Experience with Oracle enterprise relational databases, SQL, PL/SQL, or modern software architecture.
• Experience using reporting development tools.
