Lead Analyst HR Technology (Workday)

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid work environment with remote and onsite work

Base salary: $98,500–$141,500 per year, plus eligibility for a competitive incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the optimization, configuration, and continuous enhancement of Workday HR systems across at least two functional areas.
• Discover requirements, map processes, design solutions, and translate business needs into Workday configurations and functional specifications.
• Manage business processes, eligibility and condition rules, calculated fields, tenant configuration, data integrity, auditability, and user experience.
• Lead Workday release management, including impact assessments, regression testing, tenant moves, stakeholder communications, and post-deployment stabilization.
• Design workflow simplification and automation initiatives that improve user experience, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Mentor junior HR Technology team members and coordinate resolution of complex issues with internal IT, vendors, partners, and Workday resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6–8+ years of hands-on Workday experience with significant end-to-end configuration responsibility in at least two functional areas.
• Experience in areas such as HCM, Recruiting, Talent Management, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Security, or Integrations.
• Strong Workday reporting, calculated fields, data analysis, Excel, analytical, problem-solving, documentation, stakeholder, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential data with discretion and sound judgment.
• Strong interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.

Nice to have

• Workday training or certifications, including Workday Pro.
• Experience with EIBs and data loads.
