Senior Environmental Consultant (Environmental Response)

Location: USA-AR-Little Rock; flexible locations are also mentioned, with required onsite deployment for emergency response and other environmental projects and frequent, extended travel.

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 per year, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Provide environmental consulting for emergency response and non-emergency projects, serving as Project Manager, Project Technical Director, Environmental Unit Lead, or Technical Specialist when appropriate.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, agencies, project managers, logistics teams, data managers, and quality managers to define resources and deliver accurate, timely environmental data and reports.
• Prepare environmental work plans and project deliverables and ensure that field activities follow approved requirements.
• Lead or support response readiness through training, exercises, equipment maintenance, documentation, and development of internal templates.
• Coach and train field and command post personnel and provide technical consulting and training to clients.
• Support business development, service growth, team staffing, and direct management of assigned consultants where delegated.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, chemistry, biology, geology, or a related science, plus at least 8 years of additional field experience.
• Experience in project management, preferably in emergency response, with at least three relevant specialties including environmental assessment, waste characterization and management, remediation, risk or environmental impact assessment, or natural resource damage assessment.
• Recognized environmental certification such as REM, CEP, or CHMM; advanced Windows-based computer skills.
• HAZWOPER certification, DISA clearance, TWIC clearance, a current driver’s license, and a current passport are required.
• Ability to communicate professionally in English, work in hazardous and adverse conditions, make decisions during emergencies, and operate independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to deploy onsite, travel frequently for extended periods, work long or irregular hours including weekends, and occasionally work shifts of up to 24 hours.
