What you will do

• Provide engineering support for plant operations and maintenance, including equipment diagnostics, startup and shutdown support, and corrective actions.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures and performance issues.
• Monitor turbine and auxiliary system performance to identify opportunities to improve availability, heat rate, and efficiency.
• Execute reliability and condition monitoring programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and controls diagnostics.
• Maintain configuration control, drawings, procedures, engineering records, and Management of Change documentation.
• Coordinate capital projects, modifications, maintenance activities, vendors, contractors, and regulatory compliance work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and at least two years of related engineering experience, or a military equivalent.
• Alternative education paths include an ABET-accredited engineering master’s degree, a non-ABET engineering bachelor’s degree combined with an eligible master’s degree or PhD, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology.
• Experience with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, equipment reliability, and plant performance improvement.
• Knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, performance monitoring tools, industry codes, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, Microsoft Office, and technical reporting skills.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
