Electrical & Controls Engineering Manager (Packaging Automation)

Location: Greenville, South Carolina, USA; onsite at the Greenville office

What you will do

• Manage electrical and controls engineering activities, including resource planning, design standards, product development, implementation, and testing.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and establish repeatable project execution processes.
• Manage department staffing, recruiting, coaching, performance evaluation, and career development.
• Partner with senior leadership, department managers, commercial applications, and sales on business goals and potential customer orders.
• Manage project labor, materials, work-in-progress forecasting, risk analysis, and performance indicators for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Support controls system design, programming, field commissioning, startup, and job-site activities when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field, or substantial applicable experience in lieu of a degree.
• 10+ years of combined facility and equipment maintenance and/or electrical and controls engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience supervising a multidisciplinary electrical and controls team.
• Proficiency with manufacturing processes, mechanical prints, electrical schematics, MRP systems, and business software such as Microsoft Office.
• Strong change management, problem-solving, communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work in the United States and travel domestically and internationally approximately 5–20% of the time; international customer work may require off-normal-hour communication.
