Maintenance Tech - 3rd Shift

Location: USA - OH - Ashland; on-site, 3rd shift

Salary: $31.30 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, install, and rebuild mechanical and electrical production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, equipment inspections, special projects, and breakdown resolution.
• Use root cause analysis, breakdown failure analysis, cause maps, and predictive maintenance technologies such as ultrasound, thermal imaging, oil analysis, and vibration analysis.
• Maintain facility and utility systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, steam, chilling systems, electrical power, gas, compressed air, plumbing, fire systems, and building infrastructure.
• Interpret manuals, blueprints, electrical and mechanical schematics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and P&ID diagrams.
• Document maintenance work and failure findings in the CMMS and support improvements to plant reliability, safety, and productivity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience performing mechanical and electrical inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs in a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to pass the plant-specific maintenance test.
• Knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, GMP, OSHA, PPE, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Arc Flash, Hot Work Permit, and confined-space procedures.
• Ability to work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, carpentry, plumbing, and welding systems.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work involving continuous standing and walking, frequent climbing, kneeling, and handling loads up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Some college or formal technical school education.
• At least two years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
