What you will do

  • Manage safety programs for assigned construction projects in line with organizational requirements and best practices.
  • Conduct safety orientations, task-based training, and health and safety training for workers, managers, and supervisors.
  • Perform project safety audits and inspections, identify unsafe conditions, and communicate findings to project teams and senior management.
  • Coordinate with state and federal agencies and maintain relationships with OSHA programs.
  • Support regional workers’ compensation activities, accident investigations, claims reviews, and return-to-work processes.
  • Maintain safety documentation and collaborate with superintendents and project managers to address project safety needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Safety Management, or a related field, plus 6–8 years of related safety and health program management experience.
  • Experience in safety inspections and audits involving state and local government agencies.
  • Knowledge of state and federal safety laws, dust control, and stormwater management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience conducting safety training and currently holding or being able to obtain an OSHA 500 Trainer Card for the construction industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, communicate with diverse audiences, travel, and work in a safety-sensitive position subject to random drug testing.
