Manufacturing Engineer I, New College Grad- Bachelor's (Austin, TX)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite. Up to 10% travel to suppliers, manufacturing sites, or other business locations. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $65,500–$90,000 per year, plus potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Develop, validate, and maintain manufacturing methods, process flows, assembly procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Support the transition of new products from engineering to manufacturing with Design Engineering, NPI, Quality, Operations, and Test Engineering.
• Implement engineering changes, process updates, configuration management activities, and Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Cost improvements.
• Analyze manufacturing, quality, and test data to reduce cycle time, eliminate waste, improve capacity, and investigate root causes.
• Lead or participate in structured problem solving, PFMEA, risk assessments, process validation, CAPA, and new product readiness reviews.
• Evaluate suppliers, tooling, labor standards, process performance, and manufacturing costs while supporting quality, delivery, safety, and customer satisfaction goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, process engineering, industrial engineering, or NPI environments.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering documentation, mechanical assemblies, and production operations.
• Experience analyzing data and applying problem-solving methods to manufacturing or quality issues.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong communication, analytical, collaboration, adaptability, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Internship, co-op, or industry experience in semiconductor equipment, advanced manufacturing, electronics, aerospace, automotive, medical devices, or other high-tech manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, continuous improvement, PFMEA, DFMEA, control plans, and corrective actions.
• Experience with mechanical drawings, bills of materials, engineering change documentation, SAP, Oracle, ERP/MRP, or manufacturing quality systems.
• Exposure to semiconductor equipment, vacuum systems, robotics, precision assemblies, fluid delivery systems, electromechanical systems, or automated production equipment.
