Senior Claims Specialist/Claims Attorney - Remote (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid schedule based out of the Richfield, Ohio office; on-site four days per week and remote one day per week. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage a large inventory of highly complex bodily injury and property and casualty claims.
• Lead investigations to determine coverage, liability, compensability, and damages.
• Analyze and negotiate settlements and reserves within assigned authority.
• Attend or support arbitrations, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Communicate complex coverage and settlement information to insureds, claimants, and external partners.
• Maintain accurate claim files and may coach staff or participate in talent management decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 13 years of property and casualty claims-handling experience.
• Expert knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, claims procedures, industry laws, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage highly complex caseloads, handle confidential information, and lead negotiations.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Commercial claims litigation experience.
• Completed or ongoing professional designation such as Associate in Claims (AIC).
