What you will do

• Investigate complex litigated claims through correspondence, depositions, and personal contact with involved parties.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies while managing assigned defense counsel to ensure cost-effective resolutions.
• Analyze discovery materials, expert reports, and medical records to evaluate loss extent and liability.
• Negotiate and settle claims within delegated authority, handling files from inception to closure.
• Prepare for and participate in pre-trial conferences, mediations, and trials as required.
• Maintain accurate claim status and financial records within company systems.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 7-10 years of experience in GL Litigation Claims
• Thorough knowledge of Risk Transfer and legal/contractual issues
• Ability to manage litigation files from start to finish
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills

Nice to have

• Thorough knowledge of New York Labor Law
• College degree
