Senior Data Scientist (Marketplace)

What you will do

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to understand user engagement, product performance, and marketplace behavior.
• Develop measurement frameworks, metrics, and reporting systems for users and marketplace performance.
• Align cross-functional stakeholders on analytical priorities and roadmaps.
• Design and analyze experiments, including A/B tests.
• Investigate user behavior, marketplace dynamics, and business performance drivers.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Data Engineering, and the broader data community to strengthen data culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science, product analytics, or a related function.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience with Tableau, Looker, or a similar BI platform.
• Experience applying statistics and experiment design in a business context.
• Proficiency in Python, R, Julia, or another data-oriented language.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience with another two-sided marketplace.
• Experience with causal inference, predictive modeling, or other advanced statistical methods.
