Analytics Engineer 2 (AI)

What you will do

• Architect, build, and optimize high-performance analytical data models with dbt Core/Cloud and complex SQL.
• Develop scalable pipelines for EHR, claims, FHIR, HL7, unstructured, and semi-structured healthcare data.
• Design and monitor production DAGs with Dagster or similar asset-centric orchestration frameworks.
• Implement real-time data freshness checks, anomaly detection, and automated alerting.
• Partner with Data Engineering, Governance, and BI teams on ELT integration, semantic models, metrics, and data contracts.
• Enforce HIPAA and HITECH compliance through access controls, data masking, CI/CD checks, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering.
• Advanced SQL, dbt, Python, and workflow orchestration experience with Dagster or Airflow.
• Hands-on knowledge of healthcare data frameworks, including FHIR, HL7, ICD-10, CPT, and claims feeds.
• Experience protecting PHI under HIPAA and operating governed analytics pipelines in cloud data environments.
• Experience with platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS EMR/Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Must be based in NJ, United States, for this remote role.
