Staff Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid – Phoenix, AZ, United States

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead multiple aerospace and defense programs from contract award through end-item delivery.
• Serve as the primary customer interface and accountable owner for program execution.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, budgets, resources, milestones, and risk mitigation plans.
• Own program financial performance, including forecasts, EAC/ETC management, variance analysis, margins, and recovery plans.
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and finance.
• Present program status, financial performance, risks, and recovery plans to customers and senior leadership while supporting proposals and customer reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, operations, program management, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of program management experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting.
• Experience managing programs through development, integration and test, production, and delivery.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, EAC/ETC management, and resource planning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and standard program management tools.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of program management experience and experience managing programs valued at $10M–$50M or more.
• Knowledge of FAR 15, TINA, CPFF, FFP contracts, and proposal development.
• Experience with DoD customers, government-funded development programs, aerospace electronics, RF systems, radar, or EW systems.
• MBA, PMP, or PMP certification.
