Principal Electrical Engineer (CRM)

Location: Mounds View, Minnesota, United States; minimum 5 days a week onsite

Salary: $140,800–$211,200 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan

What you will do

• Lead complex electrical design programs and potentially coordinate teams of 5–10 electrical engineers.
• Design, develop, analyze, and debug analog and digital circuitry for implantable and external cardiac rhythm management devices.
• Integrate electronics, firmware, and mechanical designs into final products.
• Develop production test requirements, manufacturing test applications, and test procedures.
• Build, automate, and validate test environments for characterization and verification.
• Support manufacturing sites and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 5 years, or a PhD with at least 3 years.
• Experience with electrical engineering design, troubleshooting, verification, and validation.
• Strong PCB design methodology knowledge, including CAD tools and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with circuit simulation using tools such as PSPICE or LTSPICE and with MATLAB modeling.
• Experience with C/C++, Python scripting, LabVIEW, or similar engineering tools.
• U.S. work authorization is required; sponsorship is offered for Principal-level roles and above.

Nice to have

• Technical leadership experience and the ability to lead cross-functional programs.
• Experience evaluating and debugging electrical designs, including RF performance.
• Class III medical device or other regulated-product development experience.
• Familiarity with ISO 14708 or IEC 60601.
