Senior Technical Recruiter (AI)

Location: On-site at the San Francisco headquarters, United States

Salary: $100K–$175K annual base salary, flexible based on experience, plus equity.

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for highly technical roles across engineering and technical teams.
• Build targeted searches and engage passive candidates through personalized outreach.
• Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and engineering leaders to translate technical requirements into effective sourcing plans.
• Conduct talent mapping, competitive intelligence, and market research to inform hiring strategies.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-potential candidates and create diverse pipelines for hard-to-fill roles.
• Improve sourcing methodologies, recruiting tools, metrics, candidate experience, and the technical talent narrative.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience sourcing technical talent in a high-growth startup or technology company.
• Expertise with ATS tools, preferably Ashby, plus LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, Indeed, GitHub, research platforms, and creative sourcing techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and engage passive candidates for difficult technical searches.
• Experience partnering directly with engineering leaders and hiring managers and understanding technical domains.
• Strong written communication, research, candidate outreach, closing, negotiation, and data-driven pipeline management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple searches, take ownership, and work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Recruiting experience in hardware, robotics, industrial automation, deep tech, materials science, controls engineering, or applied AI/ML.
• Experience in early-stage or seed-to-Series B recruiting environments.
• Experience building a sourcing function or playbook from scratch.
