Engineer I - Product (New Product Introduction) (FPGA): Supporting pre-production rollout of new FPGA products through early-build planning, inventory coordination, yield monitoring, and production-hold management with an accent on cross-functional product engineering and statistical analysis. Focus on developing scripts in TCL, Perl, Python, C, and C++ to track builds, identify bottlenecks, and improve test-goal performance.

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite role with 0–25% travel.

Annual base salary: $70,304–$143,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

  • Plan and coordinate early engineering builds supporting product validation.
  • Manage inventory, Early Sample and pre-production builds, stocking plans, and forecasts for product-family rollouts.
  • Monitor package-test yields through statistical analysis and develop enhancements to meet test targets.
  • Manage production holds to support customer shipments and revenue.
  • Develop scripts to monitor yields, track builds, identify bottlenecks, and report rollout status.
  • Coordinate with Test Engineering, Package Engineering, Yield Enhancement, Planning, Qualification, Quality, Marketing, and Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • 0–1+ years of experience in product engineering, product planning, or program management.
  • Hands-on experience with data-management tools and languages such as KLA and JMP.
  • Knowledge of solid-state physics and microelectronics.
  • Skills in TCL, Perl, Python, C, C++, and Visual Basic.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, organization, methodical working style, and results orientation.
