What you will do

• Design and develop piece parts, assemblies, and structural systems for all stages of the Terran R rocket.
• Work with machined metallic components, sheet metal, composites, formed panels, and related flight hardware.
• Integrate design-for-manufacturing decisions with manufacturing engineering and support component fabrication.
• Assess system packaging by resolving interferences, validating hardware stacks and fasteners, and defining gapping and shimming strategies.
• Manage BOM structures, configuration control, and part and assembly lifecycles across multiple vehicles.
• Create and release drawings after CDR, using GD&T as the primary definition, and present recommendations when design decisions are needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a design engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with industry-standard CAD packages such as NX, CATIA, Creo, or SOLIDWORKS.
• Fundamental knowledge of structural strength, stability, and fatigue failure mechanisms.
• Ability to lead projects to completion, work collaboratively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• 1+ year of experience with NX and Teamcenter PLM.
• 1+ year of experience with GD&T and drafting.
