IT Project Manager (Pharmaceutical Diagnostics)

Location: Barcelona. Hybrid work with onsite presence required 1–2 days per week for this project.

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects from planning and execution through monitoring and closure.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, success criteria, timelines, and milestones with stakeholders.
• Control project budgets, expenses, resources, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
• Ensure quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance processes are followed.
• Coordinate technical teams, business stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and external partners.
• Support Agile practices including sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog prioritization.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or diagnostics.
• Strong project management skills covering budget control, resource management, timeline tracking, risk management, and reporting.
• Understanding of IT systems, cloud-based solutions, software development lifecycles, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methods including Scrum and Kanban, as well as traditional project management approaches.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders.
