Aerospace Metrology Electronic Calibration Technician

Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, United States

Salary: $30.00–$45.00 hourly

What you will do

• Complete planned and unplanned calibrations of electronic measurement and test equipment, including troubleshooting, fault isolation, disassembly, and repairs.
• Use drawings, calibration procedures, manufacturer instructions, hirify.global specifications, and applicable military specifications.
• Coordinate vendor calibrations, review vendor certifications, process returned equipment, and support onsite vendor services.
• Maintain calibration records, equipment traceability, laboratory standards, and reports for out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Support audits, root cause investigations, corrective actions, capability studies, and technical collaboration with manufacturing, assembly, engineering, and model shop teams.
• Recommend improvements to calibration procedures, datasheets, equipment, workflow, safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of electronic calibration experience.
• Proficiency with precision electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical measuring equipment and calibration standards.
• Ability to understand and apply written, verbal, and computer-based work instructions in English.
• Strong planning, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Torrance, California.
• The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Electronic technical certification.
• Assembly or test systems experience.
• Aerospace industry experience and knowledge of manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
