TL;DR
A&T Technician II, 2nd Shift (Aerospace) (Assembly and test): Performing precision assembly, testing, adjustment, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical flight actuators with an accent on blueprint-based assembly, dimensional accuracy, and acceptance testing. Focus on diagnosing test failures, completing rework, validating actuator conformance, and documenting parts and repairs.

Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, working 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Salary: $28.00–$36.00 per hour, plus a 10% second-shift differential.

hirify.global designs and integrates primary and secondary flight control actuation systems for military aircraft, including the F-35 Lightning II and V280 Valor.

What you will do

  • Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical actuators.
  • Adjust and align assemblies using shimming, fixtures, tooling, torque wrenches, gauges, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Conduct mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic tests in accordance with current acceptance requirements.
  • Diagnose test failures, perform or recommend rework, and hold problem units for engineering disposition.
  • Verify dimensional accuracy and conformance to current drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Order replacement parts through RUR and WDS systems and document parts and work performed.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical, or electronic assembly experience, preferably in aerospace.
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform precision assembly and testing of flight actuators.
  • Experience with dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical component issues and test failures.
  • Basic Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook skills; ability to understand and apply written, verbal, and computer instructions in English.
  • Ability to work onsite on the 2nd shift and meet FAA drug and alcohol testing requirements; ability to possess or obtain a security clearance.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification.
