Engineering Technician II (T2)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite role with up to 10% travel. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $21.50–$29.20 per hour

What you will do

• Design, test, check out, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and assemble electronic and electromechanical systems, prototypes, test equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems at system and component level.
• Support new system installations, NPI activities, and field upgrades.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing according to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
• Compile logbooks and test procedure documentation, perform testing-related rework, and generate quality notifications.
• Follow safety, security, equipment-handling, and workplace safety procedures.

Requirements

• Analytical skills and the ability to apply scientific methods to technical activities.
• Ability to work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, and plans.
• Ability to recognize and solve typical problems using established procedures or scientific methods.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for documentation and information exchange.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, Texas and travel up to 10% of the time.
